1. JOB TITLE: Project Buyer

PURPOSE OF ROLE:

The purpose of the Project buyer in the Regions is to successfully manage the project spend and realize the pipeline savings. To optimize and manage the supply chain. To measure, report and improve supplier performance. This includes managing of material requirements in projects, send our requests for quotes, negotiations with the suppliers, purchase order placement and order management..

1. KEY RESULT AREAS:

- Establish purchase contracts for the projects and Sign / countersign purchase contract with supplier. Manage purchase contracts in the projects
- Ensure deliveries to the project, manage material quality claims
- Manage material cost performance (TAC), manage changes to Bill Of Material
- Secure compliance of the project with sourcing strategy
- Create, harmonize and manage Project Procurement plan, prepare, establish and manage Long Lead Items Planning

KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE (including educational level):

- Minimum of 3 years purchasing experience, preferably within an industrial environment of electronic or electro mechanical equipment
- Experience in a multi national company is an extra+
- Degree or Master’s degree (Engineering/technical or economics)
- Working knowledge of – ERP (Baan, SAP,…), Lotus Notes, Internet, Word, Excel
- Good command of both written and spoken English

1. SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES:

- Proven negotiation skills
- Fluent in English
- Ability to communicate simply and effectively at all levels and in particular across regions
- Presentable, enthusiastic and trustworthy.
- Ability and willingness to travel occasionally
- Flexible and able to work accurately to deadlines
- Exposure to cost reduction programmes
- Ability to work in multi cultural environment
